Kahuina at Kakaako – Coming Soon!

Kahuina is a new addition to Increment II of the master-planned Our Kaka‘ako community and is now accepting reservations for market-priced units. Developed by Stanford Carr Development, the project features design work by Alakea Design Group and architectural oversight by Benjamin Woo Architects. Spanning a 159,493-square-foot site (approximately 3.66 acres), Kahuina will expand Honolulu’s urban core with a mixed-use, high-rise development that supports the continued growth of housing in Kakaako. Kahuaina in Hawaiian means “crossroads” and honors the intersection of the areas rich history while embracing modern island living with a focus on sustainability, walkability, and community.

Kahuina is located on the west side of Kaka‘ako, within the Kamehameha Schools’ Our Kaka‘ako master-planned community. Directly across the street on the mauka (mountain) side is Mother Waldron Park—a popular neighborhood gathering spot featuring open green space and basketball courts. Just kitty-corner from Kahuina is SALT at Our Kaka‘ako, a vibrant retail and dining destination known for its local coffee shops, restaurants, salons, and boutiques, serving as a lively hub for the community.

Within walking distance, you’ll find convenient grocery options like H Mart and Down to Earth, along with an array of local bars, eateries, yoga studios, barre classes, and more. One of the biggest perks of this location is its proximity to Downtown Honolulu—just a 10-minute walk—making it an ideal spot for professionals working nearby or anyone relocating for a job in the area.
